Time to start planting! Right now it looks like a lot of space to fill!
First few plants are in. Tarragon, chives, green onions.

The little patio is in. The raised beds are in progress.  We are especially proud of the flagstones along the street edge as it seems very grownup and civilized to provide a safe landing zone for people stepping out of their car.

...plus, three of our downspouts will now water the front yard (instead of the foundation, which really isn't a useful thing to water) and the irrigation has been converted from overhead flap-back-n-forth style to drip/soaker hose style.

there have been some mysterious and interesting irrigation discoveries! ah the joy of a really old house! (clay sewer pipe anyone?).  nothing bad yet, just weird old underground stuff..til we turn on the sprinkler system anyway.

the big rectangular flagstone will become a little sitting area up near the porch.
