it's not every day you turn two

So, in honor of the big event, we let Grandma Greene pick out a dress and put Sara in it. And Sara looked very cute and prim and proper in her yellow dress...though I kept thinking, that dress sure seems short.

Anyway, we have a nice fun dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Greene and Auntie Amanda, and we finally get to have the "burtay geek" (actually yummy cupckaes) with miss Sara, and then as dinner is winding down, the curiosity just kills me and I have to look to see what size this cute but short dress is. So I look at the tag. The size of the dress miss Sara wore for her two year birthday party? Nine months.

Using the horrendous smelling, off-gassing plastic pool as a blanket. I would now like to admit that Sara got this pool last year & I wrapped it back up & gave it to her as a gift this year. I also wrapped some hand-me-down Elmo slippers (huge hit) and the clothes we recently bought her at Target (not such a huge hit--except the Elmo shirt of course).

Pool party the next day with some of Sara's fun new gifts.

Sara likes her cool new sand/water table.

Hanging with "papa" (Grandpa). Sara was so sad this morning when her grandparents were gone. She kept pointing at the guest room saying 'papa"?

At the Mexican place, where Sara's "papa" and dad and mom thoroughly enjoyed the margaritas. Hey, we were walking!
