cute...awkward

So, Obama has been on the cover of approximately every publication in the universe. In the midst of this, miss Sara has taken a shine to the man (perfectly good taste as far as I'm concerned). "Bama!" she announces when she sees his picture. Cute, right? OK, it makes us seem like those crazy liberal parents who have forced their less than 2 year old to learn to recognize his face when of course *nothing. NOTHING* could be further from the truth. Right. So.

But lately, well, its gotten a bit awkward. Because Sara thinks that every, um, person of the African American persuasion is her buddy "Bama!" "Bama!" she declares, at a picture of Oprah. "Bama!" she calls Tiki Barber. Lots of "Bama!"s in the superbowl.

So far this a-Bama-nation has been confined to the house...looking forward the very awkward moment in the checkout lane at the grocery store.
