Christmas Fun

Hey all, we had a dandy time seeing you this Christmas, especially (we can admit this right?) our nieces Alice and Madison, and brand new nephew Alex.

Highlights: Madison letting Mike come in her tent after all (when we stayed over before flying home on Saturday) and Alice calling Mike a "big big keeper and a big big man!"

Also, I caught the first fish of my life!!! Which was pretty damn fun.

Our L'il Blizzard

The pictures never really do it justice, but we had a decent little blizzard here just before Christmas, about 2 feet or so where we are. Enough to keep me home from work for 3 days & for cabin fever to start setting in (just when we needed those Netflix movies most, the post office couldn't deliver!).

Remodeling recap

For those of you following along at home, the remodeling fun continues.

The biggest & most satisfying job so far has been tearing out all the nasty, stained white carpet from almost the entire second floor & replacing it with lovely dark teak (sorry trees). Many thanks to my (Beth's) parents for coming out to help... our 'no right angles house' means everything takes a lot longer. But it looks soooooooo goooooooood.
